Quick answer
Use Bot Hop and the updrafts created by destroyed explosive projectiles to keep Flappetizer in sight. When the boss becomes invulnerable, defeat the supporting Salmonids, fill the Power Egg gauge, and trigger the Drill Attack. Spend saved Gadgets and the Showstopper while Flappetizer is grounded.

Prepare for the fight
- Bring a weapon that can keep dealing damage while the target is airborne.
- Keep recovery or movement support available for the large ink tornado zones.
- Save burst Gadgets and the Showstopper for a grounded vulnerability window.
- Ink more than one route across the arena so a bomb pattern cannot close the only escape lane.
Opening phase: stay airborne
Flappetizer begins above the arena and attacks from range. Track the boss while moving rather than firing from one position. Destroy the explosive projectiles that can produce an updraft, then use Bot Hop or the rising air to gain a clear angle. The damage in this part of the cycle is useful, but staying ready for the next tornado or bomb is more important than forcing every shot.
Wind phase: charge the Drill Attack
Direct weapon fire does not damage Flappetizer during the defensive wind phase. Switch immediately to the supporting Salmonids and collect their Power Eggs. Once the gauge is ready, trigger the Drill Attack to bring the boss down. Move close enough to capitalize before spending a Gadget or Showstopper; the grounded opening is the safest opportunity for sustained damage.
Later cycles: watch the flight path
The basic loop returns, but Flappetizer adds straight passes over the arena and drops explosives along the route. Look up before crossing open ground and move away from the projected path. Rebuild the Power Egg gauge in the next defensive phase, drill again, and repeat the grounded burst.

If the fight keeps going wrong
If bombs are controlling too much ground, spend one cycle inking wide escape lanes instead of chasing damage. If the grounded window feels too short, stop using burst resources during the aerial phase. A ranged weapon also reduces the need to stand beneath Flappetizer where overlapping warning zones are harder to read.
