Style route
Customize the Mechanic's look with outfits earned through campaign progress, challenges, development, multiplayer, and compatible amiibo. Use the routes below to open the Outfit Index with the matching filter already selected.
Open the Gear menu on the Hideout Ship, enter Style, and choose Outfit. Outfits change the Mechanic's appearance; the currently recorded outfits do not list combat bonuses. Amiibo scanning also starts from Style after the first three raids.
Outfit routes
Looks available without a recorded progression condition.
Tied to levels, ship growth, or other campaign milestones.
Earned by constructing facilities or developing Tanks, Gadgets, and Parts.
Connected to Dungeons, Dens, bosses, arcades, or Bottomless Buffet milestones.
Awarded after completing a recorded treasure or Relic collection target.
Requires a multiplayer room or a completed Call for Help run.
Unlocked by scanning a compatible Splatoon-series amiibo figure.

Nintendo confirms that the playable Mechanic's look can be customized and that challenge and amiibo rewards add outfits. The Outfit Index records the name and unlock requirement for each available look.
Meet the Mechanic and Deep CutLoadout
Weapons, Tanks, Gadgets, Parts, and Powers belong to combat loadout customization, not the Style wardrobe. Use the Builds Browser to compare recorded relationships without mixing combat stats into cosmetic outfits.
